Mexico became the United States' largest trading partner
Mexico was the largest trading partner of the United States for the second month in a row in January, according to new data from the Census Bureau. Compared with the same period in 2022, total trade between the two countries increased 12 percent year on year to $63.9 billion, accounting for 15.2 percent of total U.S. trade. In January, U.S. exports to Mexico totaled $26.9 billion and imports totaled $37 billion, accounting for more than $10.1 billion.
