General Motors is spending $1.4 billion to upgrade production facilities in Brazil

General Motors has announced an investment of 7 billion reais ($1.4 billion) in its plants and operations in Brazil. Gm's investment is aimed at offering its South American customers a portfolio of next-generation vehicles. The automaker said the investment is focused on upgrading production facilities in Brazil to deliver a new generation of locally produced internal combustion engine vehicles, as well as a portfolio of imported internal combustion engines and electric vehicles.
