Global economic losses from natural disasters will reach $275 billion in 2022,

according to a recent report by Swiss Re Reresearch Institute. Specifically,

Hurricane Ian, which made landfall in Florida in the United States last September, '

caused insured losses of about $50 billion to $65 billion,

the highest natural disaster premium last year and by far the most expensive natural disaster premium.
